Auf ihrer letzten Versammlung haben die Mitglieder des Bundesarbeitgeberverbandes der Personaldienstleister e.V. (BAP) und des Interessenverbandes Deutscher Zeitarbeitsunternehmen e.V. (iGZ) mit überwältigender Mehrheit grünes Licht für die Fusion der beiden Arbeitgeberverbände zum „Gesamtverband der Personaldienstleister e.V.“ (GVP) gegeben.

Mit dem GVP entsteht damit einer der größten Arbeitgeberverbände in Deutschland, der etwa 6.000 Mitgliedsunternehmen vertritt und gemeinsam mit den DGB-Gewerkschaften künftig die Arbeits- und Sozialbedingungen für rund 800.000 Zeitarbeitskräfte organisiert. Der iGZ-Bundesvorsitzende Christian Baumann wird künftig als GVP-Präsident den neuen Verband gemeinsam mit seinem Stellvertreter Sebastian Lazay führen, der gegenwärtig an der Spitze des BAP steht.
